Hello,
My name is TSgt Gary Zahn, I am in the Air force stationed out of European Command Headquarters, I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank all the Authors that are participating in this program. It is a priviledge to recieve so many free ebooks from all of you. With so many books to read now my time will go by quickly. I have had so many e-mails to go through that this is the first time I have had a chance to get on here to get the free ebooks that you have offered. I am also spreading the word as much as I can about this great program. I sent an e-mail out to hte entire base and am trying to get the word out through as many avenues as I possibly can. Once again thank you for your support and all the free books. It really is appreciated immensely.

Gary Zahn

P.S: I was wondering if I could get the Secret of the Sands by RAI AREN in a different format then the PRC format. It does not work on my e-book reader and unfortunately I dont have a kindle yet..hopefully my wife has been getting the hint to get me one for xmas. Anyway my email is gary.zahn@eucom .mil if she or someone could get it to me in a different format it would be greatly appreciated..it looks like a really great book and am really looking forward to reading it if possible. Thanks again and take care all of you.

Thank you for your post, Sergeant Zahn. I've been more than a little concerned that no one was interested in this.

I'll PM Rai and see what we can do about some other formats. I presume you know that the PRC format can be read on a computer or any other device that supports Mobipocket's software?

The initial post got too big for the database so I had to split the comments from the free books.

This is such a nice service, I hope we get more participants.

I know I would be taking advantage if I had been in the Military.

Also a question - has anyone posted over on the Nook Boards for this?

I don't know. Ed probably does but since I split the topic he's not getting email so he may be a while in responding.

And here's something from The Examiner by journalist Tim Baker about tomorrow's broadcast and eBook Drop in general.

The birth of a new idea came about by chance for Edward C. Patterson of Pennsylvania but what a magnificent concept it has turned into with just a few months. For the benefit of U.S. troops all across the globe, 'Operation eBook Drop' was created.
